Greetings all!
I'm trying to keep an old E-3110 alive. P-266 running Win98SE with 192
MB RAM. Will this support a 80 or 120 Gig HD w/o a controller card or
will I have to spring for one?
Thanks in advance!
Doug

Most likely you'll need a card. Another alternative is a USB 2.0 PCI card
and an external drive. If you have a drive already you can put it in one of
these:
Got one myself and they work great. The USB 2.0 card will also give to
access to other USB 2.0 components.

hi,
hd makers offer software to install large drives on older systems .
most recommend using a card though . if you decide to use disk drive
overlay software you will need to partition and format using it . 98
0nly recognizes up to 64 gb . i just installed a 120 gb wd on my
older system with the software . seems to be ok .
hope this helps,
terry
