Im getting an error when trying to run the write benchmark.

The error says to remove the partitions and then try to rerun the test.

If I remove the partition how can the computer recognize the drive?
The read test works just fine.

This thread is old, but I'm getting the same error and it was never answered. The exact working of the message is:

"Writing is disabled. To enable writing please remove all partitions."

Well like it said; remove the partitions and try again.

Because the write test DESTROYS ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE, it won't let you do that if it finds a partition on it.

So go to Disk Management and delete the partition and all data on it; then try again to do the write test.
