My brother does all the family videos and editing. He has been working on an older computer and needs to update/upgrade. I've been away from building for a while and never built for video editing when i did. I know there are lot of options out there so i would appreciate your help. He has software already so needs to stick with Windows, so even if a MAC would be better it isn't an option. I've seen a lot of builds from years ago so needed updated recommendations.
He is looking to keep cost under $2k. The building won't be a problem but if there is a good pre-built (with warranty) feel free to recommend it.
I'm figuring an I7 and had thought a good graphics card would be important but have read a lot of people saying it isn't unless you go with the $2k+ cards. One person had suggested the 1tb Samsung 850 EVO SSD.
