HD Video lags

Hey,

I actually posted this on the Laptops subforum but maybe this is a better fit here.


Just bought myself a Lenovo G405 laptop yesterday. I'm just having an issue with loading videos on Youtube. Everytime I try to load an HD video on Youtube, it gets choppy and laggy. Sometimes, the audio plays just fine but the video is not keeping up. This happens both in Chrome and Firefox. I tried playing HD videos on VLC and Windows Media Player and they're playing seamlessly without any problems.

This is the processor the laptop has: AMD E1-2100 APU with Radeon Graphics 1.00 Ghz

I'm running on Windows 8.1.

Also ran a speed test and got this: DL - 8.88Mbps, UL: 2.23 Mbps

What could be the problem? Hope someone helps me out.

Try updating your drivers.
Also try setting youtube to html5. https://www.youtube.com/html5

This box on the link is checked 'The HTML5 player is currently used when possible.'
Does that mean it's set on html5 now?

Also did a check on the driver and it said it's updated.
