I have a new HDD but when I checked the health it said caution. Is it a problem or should I replace it. I mean I did not had any issues with the drive and 8 relocated bad sectors is a small number. But still show caution.

I have used crystal disk info and I got it on my birthday in August. It came with the PC I got. Here is the screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PbBUvr_0R83iBEFTDlNvxd7SOHEhu2yk/view?usp=drivesdkNew, as in 'brand new'?
Bought from where?
Checked health with what?
In my opinion I don't see any issues with it as 8 relocated bad sectors is rather a small number. The drive is fast and responsive and did not have any issues yet. But the software thinks otherwise.I have used crystal disk info and I got it on my birthday in August. It came with the PC I got. You got it in August. It is now late September. At most, 54 days.I have used crystal disk info and I got it on my birthday in August. It came with the PC I got. Here is the screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PbBUvr_0R83iBEFTDlNvxd7SOHEhu2yk/view?usp=drivesdk
Oh well that's not good. I don't really know why they just replace the drive though lol. As long as I backup my data then nothing to worry about. Also 8 is not really an issue just need to keep an eye on it thanks. You got it in August. It is now late September. At most, 50 days.
That drive, according to that CDI, has 2980 hours on it.
124 days, running 24/7.
That, my friend, is/was a used drive.
Even if that number was ZERO....you need to be proactive with your backups.Oh well that's not good. I don't really know why they just replace the drive though lol. As long as I backup my data then nothing to worry about. Also 8 is not really an issue just need to keep an eye on it thanks.
Wow that's a short life. They normally last for me with WD like 1- 4 years more if I am lucky. I totally agree that you must backup to the cloud or to more than one drive.Even if that number was ZERO....you need to be proactive with your backups.
I've had an HDD go from seemingly perfect to dead in 36 hours.
It was 5 weeks old. Friday, great. Saturday, dead.Wow that's a short life. They normally last for me with WD like 1- 4 years more if I am lucky. I totally agree that you must backup to the cloud or to more than one drive.
