Question HDD caution error on windows 10!

I have a new HDD but when I checked the health it said caution. Is it a problem or should I replace it. I mean I did not had any issues with the drive and 8 relocated bad sectors is a small number. But still show caution.

In my opinion I don't see any issues with it as 8 relocated bad sectors is rather a small number. The drive is fast and responsive and did not have any issues yet. But the software thinks otherwise.

You got it in August. It is now late September. At most, 54 days.

That drive, according to that CDI, has 2980 hours on it.
124 days, running 24/7.

That, my friend, is/was a used drive.

Oh well that's not good. I don't really know why they just replace the drive though lol. As long as I backup my data then nothing to worry about. Also 8 is not really an issue just need to keep an eye on it thanks.

Even if that number was ZERO....you need to be proactive with your backups.
I've had an HDD go from seemingly perfect to dead in 36 hours.

Wow that's a short life. They normally last for me with WD like 1- 4 years more if I am lucky. I totally agree that you must backup to the cloud or to more than one drive.

It was 5 weeks old. Friday, great. Saturday, dead.

Oh yes. Warranty replacement, and all data was recovered.
Same with a 3 yr old SD that died VERY suddenly.
