Hi,
I was secure erasing an old Samsung HD103SI, and I had a power problem and my PC restarted. Now the HDD is "dead", the bios post stops and the pc do not start if the HDD is connected. If I connect it after the windows is running it simple frezes the PC.
Tried to use Parted Magic to try to erase the HDD again, but, even seeing it I got an error when I try to erase, Tried using GParted to try to create a partition in it but got a I/O error and it can't see the HDD.
It's like the Secure Erase has erased some important data to make the HDD work. Is it possible? I though it only erased the plates, but it's like it messed something in the firmware of the device.
Any advice in a possible way to resurrect the HDD?
Thank you.
