Question HDD failing..can I transfer/mirror windows to new SSD in CPU

I have a failing HDD in my PC, i have a new SSD installed.... can I transfer windows from the failing drive to the new ssd inside my PC... and then just boot to the SSD? is there a way of doing that??

Instead of cloning the installed OS onto an SSD, it's advised to reinstall the OS from scratch. A faulty/failing HDD can only mean more failures or points of corruption when trying to clone the drive.

yeah, thats what i figured..... I dont have the Key for this windows...So do I have to buy a whole new copy of windows... i heard I didnt have to...and if so, how to I get the installer onto the new SSD? not to sure what to do here
