Hi guys i am in a bit of a trouble here.

I want an hdd to run games from it and i am in confusion beacause i want the best solution in speed but i am also concerned about reliability cause i may running my computer over 12 hours per day and sometimes concecutive days in a row(I think i am using my pc a little less about 7/24).

So i am between those 3 HDDs:

1)WD RE 1TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:WD1003FBYZ)

2)WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:WD1003FZEX)

3)Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm 64mb cache (model number:ST2000DM001)

Thanks everyone.

P.S. This topic is about HDDs so don't bother suggesting any SSDs :)

get Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 64mb cache slimmer than WD or get Seagate SSHD for ssd like performance and it is also slimmer than WD

The difference in prize is about 5-10 euros in my region in all of 3 disks so it isn't my concerne.I put RE in the choices because of its stability in constant use(as server HDD) but i dont know if can run game as well as from the other two although the have same factory rpms.As for the seagate i am reading a lot of negative reviews about failing and tha it is not suggested for concecutive use(nearly 24/7) thats why i am in confusion. As for the extra TB is not my concerne either

Yeah you see the point here for the black is the bad reviews about noice and i am not the guy who will tolerate noice.
Anyway thank you for the responces but i can't still make my choice.

i just bought locally a wd black 1tb desktop internal drive. no noise problems here.

I think the noice problems are always linked with the total hardware of the case. For example if you have a lot of fans even in low rpms you propably won't be anble to hear it.In my case i got a custom watercool so tha rad fans may not completely cover any possible noice that may occur from the disk. For the record i have seen youtube videos with the noice problems and a lot of reviews.Either way it is always about the piece you get and the enviroment around it.Finally i will propably go for the RE so thank you all for the responces.

In the WD site they give a peak about 180 mb/s if i can remeber correct but i thought that you said that there is a difference about 2-3% thats why i am going with the extra stability.Either way do you have any link of a benchmark test written or in a video to check it?

Yes i see your point. In the WD site in the driver spec sheet they give these numbers.

WD Black:
Data transfer rate (max)
Buffer to host 6 Gb/s
Host to/from drive (sustained) 150 MB/s

WD RE:
Data transfer rate (max)
Buffer to host 6 Gb/s
Host to/from drive (sustained) 128 MB/s

Ok i can see the difference in the numbers and also on the benchmark list but both disks are working at 7200rpm and when i 'll use them to run a game from them the read speed is my concerne which in the benchmark is about 40mb/s difference. But after all will this difference be perceptible in a daily basic view and in plain site. And i say this beacause on the other hand with the RE i got about double the stability and not any bad reviews for noice(which is my concerne). That's why i think i am leaning to the RE.
