HDD in JBOD 1+0 on Promise T3 connected to SB600 data recovery - HELP needed!

Hi there guys,

So I have I have made a huge mistake..... I have two identical Seagate 3TB hard disks in JBOD 1+0 (acting as a normal hard disk) on the RAID controller of my MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard. - Promise T3 Raid Controller

I have connected them to the normal sata controller to see if I can read data from them, but the computer management asked me to use: create an MBR or GPT partition. I clicked GPT since these are 3TB but they show as unallocated. I did NOT FORMAT them!

I then panicked and connected them agian to the raid controller and the same thing when I went to computer management chose GPT and they show in unallocated.

So to sum this up. RAID JBOD 1+0 type HDD (to use as a normal hdd size) - connected them to normal sata SB600, selected GPT and connected them back onto the RAID controller Promise T3 and selected GPT. No format...

I used GetData RecoverMyFiles and all files seem to be intact including folder names and so on...

How do I get my data back? The hard drives show up in the raid array as functional but is there a way to rebuild them in the Fastrak BIOS?

Also would there be a difference if I swapped the cables of drive two with drive one or vice versa?

I used GetData RecoverMyFiles and all files seem to be intact including folder names and so on...

How do I get my data back?

Try recuva first before paying for software but you indicated you were just staring at it all...

Also, dont mess with your drives especially when you dont have a backup.

I also agree to restore your needed data back for free at first with some data recovery freeware available online. In fact, personally speaking, except Recuva, there are also other drive data recovery freeware that always do a good job.

But, if this really doesn’t make a sense, you may have to ask for a professional data recovery service from a data recovery company or expert, if the inner saved data is very, very important.

Yeah, I know it was very stupid of me doing it but just wanted some advice if I can build the JBOD array back. I'm currently backing up everything and rebuilding the array to see if I get data back. If I don't well, np as I have the data backed up. Thx!
