Hi,

Brand new x570 pro carbon wifi.

All front panel connectors are correct, but the HDD led is just constantly on.

Is this normal behavior, can it be solved via a bios update if so?

Or is this not normal, and should it be flashing like my old x470 did?

Tried: Disconnecting 1 drive at a time.
Reseating cables.

Thanks!

Are u really asking if this is normal? If LED stays solid and is normal, how does one know there is ACTIVITY? I suppose rather than an activity LED, is really a HD Power On LED, but I don't think so. Something is wrong, is not hooked up right, wrong cabling, reversed LED on case etc.

Honestly I never found a logic to the activity LED, but always on would probably mean something is heavily reading or writing data from/on the storage, perhaps a Windows Update or something else in the background. Check Disk Usage in Task Manager, make sure nothing suspicious is going on with the Disk Usage. Maybe run a virus scan. If all is normal, I would say ignore the activity LED - I have mine unplugged tbh.

Thank you for the reply, you are appreciated.

Disk usage at such times is between 0 and 1 percent. Fresh windows install, no virus.

I may just unplug.

Considering x570s are really new boards, I was more so asking if its normal on them. (Believe it or not, a board vendor said this is normal in the past looking online).

I'm well aware of how it works. All cabling is correct on jfc1, just like my x470.

What do you mean by reversed led on case btw?

Hi there

Thank you for posting this.. I have the exact same issue on my X570 Pro Carbon Wifi.

Must be a software/BIOS issue

Do you have a M.2 Drive installed?
