Hello. So I have two storage units in my pc one ssd 120gb where the windows is (W10) and one hdd 500gb.And my problem is that my led stays on all the time but the ssd or the hdd isn't used 100% not even 10%....And I do have some freezes. Can someone tell me what might be the problem ?Thanks!

Solution
If there is actual activity to the hard drive, windows task manager/performance monitor should be able to tell how much and what task is doing the I/O

Otherwise, I would guess that the hard drive is emitting spurious activity signals or the motherboard is emitting spurious signals to the HDD led.
If your windows ssd is nearing 90% full, it will have a very hard time doing updates.
Many things default to the C drive.
If this is the case, buy a 240gb or greater Samsung evo and use their free ssd migration utility to move your C crive to the larger ssd.

Wait,I'm not talking about my ssd,is doing very good and isn't getting close even to 60-70% even when updating.I'm talking about my hdd....when I'm basicly doing nothing the led is always on and the hdd at 100% for no reason. And idk why...?

I did format the hdd so there is no virus or malware. But it's weird because when I open the pc....the led is staying on all the tine then I restart my pc once and it's working all normal. Why?

Malware will reside on your ssd with windows. That is the drive you need to run malwarebytes to check.
Good thing to do, even if your problem is resolved.

Another possibility for activity is a antivirus scan.
