HDD not being picked up

I have an internal WD 500gb HD, and I can't get it to show up in My computer. I plugged it in way after attaching my SSD which has windows on it. I went into disc management, and it shows that it is there, but it does not have a letter assigned to it. It says it is Unallocated, and in the top part it only has EFI System Partition. No Primary Partition or anything else.

Edit: I fixed it by adding a volume. Hopefully that works.

You need to allocate the space and format it to make a partition.

Assign a drive letter if need be by right-clicking the drive and assigning a drive letter
