Hello
So I'm making my own pc but I ordered a new HDD so I can download some games beforehand.
I used a sata cable to connect it to my pc but for some reason when it is auto-detecting in the bios at start-up it searches for a very very long time not finding anything and when my pc does start it doesn't show the hdd.
my specs are:
mobo: asus h55e
processor: intel i5 760
gpu: amd radeon HD 5450
memory: kingston kvr1333d3n9/4g (2 x 2GB)
storage: wdc WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 (sata 3 1tb)
I'm trying to add: seagate barracuda 1tb
what can i do to make it at least detectable
thanks in advance

Solution

I found the problem my SATA was broken I took the one from my D drive and I'm waiting for me ny motherboard to arrive, it should have sata cables with it. Thanks anyway

Yes the power cable was connected, the problem was my sata cable was broken so I used the one from my D drive and it works like a charm.
