I have a old hdd that I plugged in to my pc that was apart of a partition but when I go to storage spaces to create a new partition it does not appear. The drive is working and showing up in hardware monitor.
No and also not with disk part. It shows in device manager tho and in boot. I have uninstalled the drive and reinstalled it with device manager. The device was previously in raid I don’t know if that is why it is doing this.Does it appear in Disk Management?
It shows in device manager and in boot menu tho.If it appears nowhere at all, it is either dead or not properly connected.
I would suggest the commandline function diskpart. But if it is not seen there...Is there a way to format the drive without using disk management.
