HDD not spinning - can I see the folder list?

Hello, I accidentaly dropped my external hard drive and it's not spinning. It tries, I also tried connecting it with sata to PC, but no chance. I don't think I had any necessary data on it, but can I see like an explorer cache? Or something similar to see what folders were on the drive when it was last connected? Thanks.

No, there is no cache of the drive's contents. The drive is very clearly damaged owing to the mechanical shock it incurred when you dropped it. No spin means no access to it's contents. It's just a doorstop now.

It sounds like your drive may have a stiction fault (heads stuck to platters), or a seized spindle motor.

It sounds like your drive is physically and seriously damaged by the dropping. You’d better replace it.
