Hello,
I have SABERTOOTH X99 and ssd m.2. I do not need to install a HDD. The system will run fine with out a HHD. Am I right in thinking this?

Thank you

Solution
If your m.2 SSD is large enough for all your stuff, sure.

My wife's PC is SSD only.
My main PC is almost SSD only. It has a large HDD, only for backups and drive images.
If it's a SATA M.2 SSD (like the 850 EVO M.2) then yes, it will just work no problems. If it's an NVMe SSD (like the 950 Pro) then you need to make sure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard. According to the Asus Website the X99 Sabertooth does support booting from an NVMe with certain (later) BIOS versions.

You are good.

I am running well with a single M.2 Samsung 950 pro.
I have no need currently for more than 5--gb.
