1 TB HDD 6gb/s
8 gb ram ddr3 1600mhz

Okay so ive been running gta 5 with lots of car mods on my hdd & ive crashed a couple times & noticed my hdd maxing to 100% usage, left the game idle no crashes since there's no movement. Increased movement causes my usage to fluctuate. Would a ssd prevent this type of usage? Cpu usage was 60%. Ram was 6gb out of 8gb, however i got an error earlier "Your computer is low on memory" app is of course gta 5.

I am heading to microcenter in a few hours to buy 16gb 2400mhz ddr3, i want to know if i should also buy 480gb ssd for this problem? Any help or ideas is appreciated.

Hi there mg6060,

What is the model of the drive?
I think that it may be a good idea to test the drive in order to see if there is something wrong with it: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

I believe that a healthy 7200 RPM drive should handle demanding games.

Here's some info on your memory related issue: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preventing-low-memory-problems#1TC=windows-7
You can try to adjust your virtual memory.

Apart from all these, an SSD would considerably shorten loading(boot) times.
