Depends on what you play really. Some games load quickly on HDDs enough for an SSD to not offer much value, but the same can be said for the opposite. Try playing Star Citizen on a HDD, takes me 2-3 minutes on a good HDD compared to 20 seconds on an SSD. Obviously this is one of the worst case scenarios from games i've played with load times but others are fairly long too like a couple open world games (GTA V, Witcher 3, etc), modern Total War games are pretty atrocious on HDDs too. If you play a fair amount of games that take a while to load, particularly competitive like PUBG where loading late can be a nuisance, i definitely recommend trying to at least get a 250GB SSD or so to fit your load time priority games.
