I have a hard disk that is showing up as an unknown device in Device Manager. When I try to initialize the disk, it says "Incorrect function." The disk also shows no space (0MB). I have tried changing the SATA cable and even checked the disk in another PC, but the problem persists. I have also tried to create a partition and rebuild the MBR, but it still says "Incorrect function." in Aomei Partition Manager.

I am at a loss for what to do next. I have tried everything I can think of, but the problem persists. I am hoping that someone here can help me solve this problem.

The hard disk is a Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB.
I am using Windows 11 Pro.
I have tried using the Aomei Partition Manager disk management tool.

And here is the Picture of the hard drive:

Have the OS search for drivers in the folder your chipset drivers are located.

Had a similar problem with a BD-Rom drive, and had to search the AMD chipset folder to get the SATA drivers installed (showed up as unknown device in windows 11).

Had a similar problem with a BD-Rom drive, and had to search the AMD chipset folder to get the SATA drivers installed (showed up as unknown device in windows 11).
But it was working and then suddenly it was showing unknown drive, also toshiba driver is hidden in device manager and shows unplugged. Will manually installing drivers work?
