HDD some files disspeared

hello i have 500gb hdd and on disc D i had music folder where i had saved 700 music files. today i just opened it to listen them and half of them just disspeared. is there any way to backup them ? i remember sometimes when i saved mp3 files it was copying them to 2 files but this thing happened first time

I think you mean to restore them not back them up. You back them up by copying to another drive. Did you check the recycle bin? What do you mean it was copying them to two files? You saved them in two places? Install and run Recuva and see if it will pick up anything to be restored.

when i was putting 1 file in the folder the file duplicated on its own and i was getting 1 blabla.mp3 and blabla(copy).mp3.

Can you post a disk management image of this hard-drive? I'm curious what specs will be revealed and just how full that particular partition is.

That means there was already a copy of the file there or you had two files of the same name selected.
