I have a 80gb HDD from Hitachi and a 30GB HDD from Seagate, both from the 2000s. it both have a 40pin connecter to real the data.i have them plugged in a external HDD reader and plugged it into my Windows Vista Fujitsu laptop, hoping to see the data. however, One is not recognized, and one just auto-unplugged itself. I have another 40pin 40GB hdd from Seagate, also from the mid 2000s. that one worked fine. I do also have a Hitachi 500gb sata HDD from 2008, and I plugged it into my Windows XP desktop (i took it from a HP slimline so it has Windows Vista OS file on it. when I choose to use that drive to boot it just boots up Windows Vista without any probelm), and I worked fine. Anyone please help? I do not want to waste that extra 110gb of storage, so any help will be appreciated. Thank you !:)
