Help,

I have lost the Audio output from my "Sapphire Radeon 5770 1GB GDDR5 card" it was working and has now stopped. Win 7, AMD 1090

have you checked the playback devices to see which one is set as default? you can find this under sound in control panel

right click the speaker in the lower right corner, playback properties, playback devices, make sure that the graphics card is selected.

You can also check bios to see if the audio device reverted to onboard audio device

I think you have 12.6 driver version?. I saw many people having issue with HDMI Audio Driver with 12.6.

Get 12.7 or put older drivers back.

also when in playback properties right click in the white area and click on the "show disabled devices" option if you do not see anything in there.
