HDMI cable doesn't work on motherboard,only GPU

I have an Asus z97-c mother board and a MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G GPU.When I hook up my HDMI cable to my mother board,my monitor says no signal,but when I plug it into my GPU,everything works fine.And yes I changed the input to HDMI.Says no signal

Some motherboards will disable the onboard video output if there's a discrete GPU installed.

There might be a setting in the BIOS to have both the onboard and discrete GPU enabled.

Can you please explain,I went to BIOS and I saw "PCI-E,PCI,CPU graphics which one do I pick?I saw nothing else only 2 settings.

In the Advanced tab in the BIOS, find the "Graphics Configuration" option. In that sub-menu is an option called "CPU Graphics Multi-Monitor." Change that to enabled.

Now it says that some of my drivers for the cable are not found and that 1 of them failed (only 1 installed correctly)

Now I installed Intel HD drivers and when I plug it in the mother board,only my wallpaper shows up.Nothing else.

It's probably in extended mode.

Press the Windows key + P and cycle to Duplicate.
