HDMI cable insertion issues

Hey,

I've never been able to insert a HDMI cable into my GPU (MSI Nvidia GTX 750Ti). I'm currently stuck using VGA because of this.

Is there anything I can do about this problem?

Quality may be bad, but as you can see, there is something at the top that is preventing a normal HDMI cable going in fully.

The picture is blurry but it looks like a display port, not a HDMI port. Display port have one notched corner while HDMI have 2.

It says "HDMI" next to the port

Still blurry, but that metal thing at the top blocks a bit of the port, so you can't see it fully unless the case is angled right.

You can try a slimmer HDMI connector:

You may just need to realign the motherboard to the case so you can get the connector a little farther down. Loosen the motherboard screws and all the PCI / I/O bracket screws. Plug in the HDMI connector, then tighten all the screws down.

You can also trim the I/O brackets around the connector if there is metal in the way. Obviously this will require some dis-assembly of the computer.

What brand card is it? Also try to loosening the screws that holds the bracket to the board. plug in the HDMI then tighten again.
