Hey guys, today i built my very first PC and everything was great until i plugged the HDMI cable to see if it was working - it was, but the monitor didn't show anything, i changed the input options from VGA to HDMI and looked like it did recognize it, but it was black and a box in the top left corner saying "HDMI PC" and that's it.

I'm using an old Samsung monitor that has an HDMI port, but i'm not sure that it's working properly, is there something that i can do or do i have to buy a new monitor?
Thanks.
