HDMI Connection Working with One PC, but not the other? (Same GPU, Same Monitor)

I have a problem which ruined my dual monitor setup and I have no Idea where to even begin solving it. Check this situation:

1.I have a monitor which is connected to my PC #1 using a VGA cable + VGA to HDMI adapter (bc gtx 960 doesn't have a vga connection) and it shows a black screen

2. I swap the adapters and plug my monitor into my PC #1 using a VGA to DVI adapter. It works correctly.

Now i'm thinking my GPUs HDMI port is fried....

3. So I put the same GPU in my PC #2 and connect the same monitor using a VGA cable + (the same) VGA to HDMI adapter. And It works. It also works with the VGA to DVI Adapter.

4. Put the GPU back in PC #1 and connect it using VGA + VGA to HDMI adapter and it does not work...

So my GPUs HDMI is not fried... but there is something my PC#1 doesn't like about that HDMI connection.

Just a note... that HDMI connection was working just fine yesterday... it literally broke in split second. ONLY on that PC #1

MY gtx 960 has 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI port and 3 DP ports. unfortunately I do not have DP cables because both of my monitors only have VGA and DVI ports, so I have to use adapters.

Use DVI-DVI cable and HDMI->DVI cable (or HDMI->DVI adapter + DVI-DVI cable).
No VGA adapters/cables should be used there.

Can you provide links or images to adapters, you're using?
What's the manufacturer/model name of those 2x GTX 960 ?

Also there is only one GTX 960 which was moved between the PCs. The manufacturer of the card is ASUS and model is STRIX (4GB edition)

Aslo I'm 99.9% sure it's not the GPU, because I just got a GTX 650 from a friend and I tried plugging it in the HDMI port and monitor had no response like before even with the GTX 650 and the 650 also had a VGA port, so I plugged it into that without any adapter because I had a VGA cable, and it didn't work even with the VGA cable and gtx 650. And GTX 650 was running just fine back on my friends PC just for the record.

And I think it's probably safe to say that it isn't the adapters or the VGA cables problem either because they were used with the PC #2 and worked perfectly.

So my computer just hates VGA and HDMI ports all of a sudden

I'm guessing you didn't read my posts. I said the VGA -> HDMI (not HDMI to VGA) adapter did work when I installed the GTX 960 (The Exact one from the PC#1) on my PC #2 and connected it to that same monitor using the same adapter and vga cable. and it worked on PC #2, both adapters worked on PC #2.

The problem is in PC #1. Please read my posts again and you will understand.

Adapters take signal from pc, convert it, and pass to monitor.
So, if your pc outputs HDMI and monitor accepts VGA, then adapter is HDMI->VGA (not VGA->HDMI).

And active adapters converting signal from one signal format to another are unidirectional. They work only in one direction and not in opposite direction. Passive adapters work in both directions (like DVI<->HDMI).

In your photo you have active HDMI->VGA adapter and passive DVI-I->VGA adapter.

BTW - it is a bit confusing, when you use wrong direction in adapter descriptions.
