Question HDMI functionality out-of-the-box

Hello,

Just got done building a new rig and it's been a long time (Like, since before SSDs existed long time), and I have a MSI mortar B460M. It has an HDMI port, but I'm getting nothing on the TV I'm plugging it into. Should I expect it to work from startup?

First time powered it on. Looks like everything comes on - LED strips light, RAM lit and changing colors, all fans running. Just wondering if I'm supposed to use the display port which I have no cables or monitor for ATM... I don't think anyway.

*UPDATE: Ordered a display port-to-HDMI cable and will be here tomorrow.

Ohhhhhhh. I'm double-checking the mobo manual and it doesn't say anything about that... bummer. Well I'll have the cable in tomorrow that should hopefully work.
