Hello everyone!
I have a mac book pro that I want to connect to my PC. The problem is my monitor does not have an HDMI in input. Since I'm at home, I'd rather be on my monitor than be hunched over on my laptop. Are there any devices that I can connect to my PC so that it has an HDMI in?

I have a 980ti
with the Asus ultra wide monitor, so expensive and no HDMI in.

Solution
Not enough for you to notice, unless you're transferring large amounts of data.

So your saying that with that I will be able to see whats on my laptop screen on my PC?????

What I'm saying is, if your laptop only has an HDMI output and you want to connect it to your widescreen monitor, which doesn't have a HDMI, then yes one of those adaptors will let you see your laptop on your monitor....you'll need to decide if you want a simple double sided adaptor or a whole cable with the two different ends.

If you want to connect your laptop to your PC (and not direct to the monitor), then that's a whole different story.

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. The different story. Connect Laptop to PC not directly to monitor

Ok, there are a couple of ways to connect a laptop to a PC (usually using Ethernet or Wi-Fi through your home network). What's confusing is your talk about HDMI and your monitor not having HDMI.....to me, this sounds like you are wanting to see your laptop's display on your monitor, is this correct?
The best way to display one computer on the monitor of another is with a program like "Teamviewer", because you've got a Mac and want to see it on a PC you want to be sure to install the version for that.

There's no ethernet on the mac book pro, will there be lag over wifi?

you're retarded
