HDMI no signal.

So I have an LG 23mp68vq monitor which supports HDMI. I also have a Zotac GTX 1060 video card. I already used 2 HDMI cables and still there's no signal going to the monitor. But when I'm using an HDMI to VGA adapter, it works fine. What seems to be the problem? Thanks!

Has this monitor worked previously with Hdmi or is this first time using it? Most monitors auto detect signal but check input channel is set to Hdmi or Auto and not VGA only in monitor menu.

Not yet. But I don't see any menu on the monitor to set it to HDMI mode though

Called Input, select Hdmi. Disconnect dsub from the monitor.
