HDMI not working

My HDMI Port (top half) is not working, I have 1 monitor currently working on the HDMI
port (bottom half). When I try to plug my HDMI into the top port It picks up a signal but seems to black screen. I tried using a VGA (bottom half), it worked although I don't want to use VGA.

All the other ports on the top half of the PC is working but not the HDMI (H500P Cooler Master Case, Z370 Motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (ZOTAC International))

I have also tried unplugging and plugging back in my PCI cables multiple times

Are you trying to use the motherboard outputs to get an image? Use the ports on the gtx 1080 ti.

I already have a HDMI in my GTX 1080 ti, that's the only one currently working. I'm trying to go dual monitor though, and when I plug my HDMI into my motherboard it doesnt bring up an image.

I guess that the gtx 1080 ti comes with a dvi port as well,use a dvi to hdmi adapter and look again. With a dedicated gpu installed is it possible that the igp is disabled.
