Hey guys, i've got a build with a Sentey 750w PSU, Asus z97-A, i7 4790k and a GTX 1070.

My monitor is near the CPU connected with a short HDMI cable, and my TV is across the room, connected with a 8 meters HDMI cable.

Everything works fine until i start the AC unit in my room, everytime the compressor starts working i get a black screen on my tv for about 3 seconds till the image comes back.

My question is why does this only happen with the tv and not with te monitor? It's really hard to play with the ac starting every 5 minutes or so.

I already tried swapping the HDMI ports in the GPU but it's the same, still happening only in the TV.

Worth mentioning that this only happens if i'm watching the pc on my TV, if im watching netflix or any other input this doesn't happen.

Thanks in advance

It could just be interference, any way to test the TV with the short cable temporarily?

The longer the cable the weaker the signal and the easier it is to interrupt with a spike of interference.
Something that may or may not help is those ferrite noise chokes on the power cords of the PC, TV, and AC unit. Like this https://www.amazon.com/Parts-Express-Ferrite-Noise-Suppressor/dp/B0002MQGEK Some power cords come with them pre fitted so you may already have them.

I've always ignored them, but they exist for a reason and do actually help sometimes.
