I've recently purchased a new monitor, the monitor comes with three ports - RGB, DVI and HDMI.
Right now I am using the DVI port but I've been wanting to switch so I went out and purchased myself a HDMI cable. I plugged it into my monitor and unplugged my DVI cable and the monitor displays 'no signal'. I tried connecting the HDMI cable with the PS3 I have and it worked on a TV.

I'm unsure what the issue is here.

Have you changed the input on the monitor to HDMI? Not all monitors can change their input automatically.

Usually this is done by a physical button on the monitor, it should be labeled "Source" or "Input".

Edit: After looking up your monitor, I believe the button you want to look for is called "Signal Select", simply choose HDMI here.

Yes I've changed the input to HDMI, it gives me a dialogue box with HDMI in for 3 seconds then it changes to no signal and then turns off.

You may need to go into your video card settings and select the HDMI output as well.

In windows you should be able to right click on your desktop, and choose nvidia settings or similar.

You can do this with both cables plugged in (DVI and HDMI). Simply change the input on the monitor to test HDMI when you find the correct graphics card setting.

If none of that seems to be working, you could plug the PS3 into the monitor via HDMI and make sure the monitor's HDMI input is working correctly...

Best of luck!
