HDMI TO VGA Adapter Issue

Hi Guys, One Of My Monitor Vga So I hav to use a Hdmi To Vga Adapter for it.

The Problem is :

-> My Old Adapter Works Fine For Hdmi GPU to VGA Monitor, But i aint give any display in case of my Laptop Hdmi To Vga Monitor.

-> I bought a new adapter just a few hours ago & It is totally working opposite ,
I Mean Its Working Fine For Laptop Hdmi To Vga Monitor, But i aint give any display in case of my Hdmi GPU to VGA Monitor.


Can any one pls define what is going on here....Is it the activ / Passive adapter case.

You definitively need an active adapter, HDMI is digital and VGA is analog signal.
