Question HDMI2AV no colors

I recently got an Hdmi to av adapter for connecting my pc to an old CRT tv. The issue is that when everything is correctly plugged in theres a fully working picture but no colors. I've tried changing both of the cables going in an out of the adapter. But nothing seems to make a difference. Do I just have a faulty unit or is there some setting to fiddle around with?

The setup is as follow: Hdmi to the adapter to the composite to scart (cable) to the tv
