Hdtv as monitor cannot view entire screen hdmi

Hello,
I am using my TV as a monitor. The screen being displayed is too large (cutting off the top/bottom/sides) of the screen. I've tried to locate the settings and cannot. Please assist. Thanks!

Try finding a setting on your computer, might be something like "overscan"..
