Hdtv or monitor

I need 22“ monitor for my pc. i am also consider as a 22“ hdtv as my monitor.so which is better between 22“ hdtv and 22“ monitor for my pc in my small room. i can get hdtv at discount rate.so cost is not much difference between them

Out of the two 1080p HDTV sets I have used as monitors, neither was as clear as using a real monitor. They *should* be as good, as the resolution was the same as the real monitor, but they weren't. Monitor is also more likely to have different ports (e.g. VGA & display port and not just HDMI)

I am considering samsung ua22es5000 hdtv. the techncal support of sansung said this hdtv has full features of monitors,and it work same as monitor.any way i am going to check out these hdtv and monitor
