Hi

Non techy guy asking for help here.

The headphone jack (3.5 mm audio out) socket is failing on my PC. I suspect the little element on the board is failing. So my speakers don't work.

The speakers are Edifier R980T bookshelf.

Can anyone suggest an alternate way to connect the speakers? I may have AUX out but can't tell

Or is there an easy fix for the port?

PC is my source for everything. Currently using USB connected headphones

Many thanks!

Unfortunately i think i was mistaken when i said your speakers support Bluetooth, check your owners manual. Some retailers list support for Bluetooth but the Edifier website does not.

https://www.edifier.com/product-r980t.html#spec

Got the adapter and turns out the Edifiers are not Bluetooth ready!!

As it happens I have one of those brick shaped speakers for outdoor use and
I've connected that via the ASUS adapter. The sound is not as good as the Edifiers but it is fine.

I'll have to come up with a solution.
