I ran across these little guys on etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/600789713/headphone-hanger-studio-dj-audiophile?ref=shop_home_feat_1 biggest thing for me was the mounting screw hole and shape that fit perfectly on my desk, most others were too big, had multiple screw holes or just used tape to hold them.

Before going out to buy some mass produced stuff, take a look at what people on sites like etsy are doing.

Kinda cool and I like etsy but I've had great luck with the no name 10 USD clamp on style headphone hangars on Amazon.

If you have a 3D printer of your own hanging around

He is going to make a few clear ones and I will see how they look like with an led light in the center of the hanger, should be pretty neat looking as long as it's not too bright, will be a nice muted glow.

Even potentially battery powered.
