Hi, so ive had this 2460G4 AOC monitor for a while now, and i just got some new speakers that i was wanting to use, i already have my headphones plugged directly into my PC so i cant plug the speakers in there. So i went to plug the speakers into my monitor but nothing happened, to check the speakers were working i used them in a different device (they worked) and then i tried plugging my headphones into the monitor, they did not work.

P.S. pre-thanking anyone who trys to help. :)

What type of cable are you using to connect to the monitor? DVI doesn't support audio.

If you're using DP/HDMI, then make sure you set your sound to use the monitor, it doesn't happen automatically.

USB ports on monitors won't work unless you connect them to the computer with a USB cable, USB signals aren't carried over video cables.

Hi, so I looked at that website you mentioned, didn't help i already knew how to change between those thing, then i tried plugging the speakers in and just played something and i realised that they worked. the reason why i thought they didn't work is because another option in the playback sound settings wasn't popping up, but i just need to be on the monitor speakers and it works. :) Thanks anyway :)

P.S. i am using DP and the USBs work now.
