So I was cleaning out my computer today, like you do :). Sat back down after an hour or two poking at dust only to find a horrible f**k*ng EMI noise coming through the headphones (I use the motherboard connectors at the back, not front panel or usb). These are noises which I haven't had before. I think it has something to do with EMI being picked up the the gpu as when I load a gpu stress test the pitch changes significantly compared to if I do a cpu stress test. I have a temporary fix of turning my headphone volume down and windows up but I don't want to keep this as a full solution as I still have the problem. I have a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P with an R9 270x and an EVGA 500W psu.

My PC doesn't feature that good cable management but if there was cable that was well managed it would the gpu power cable.

I feel v.sh*t atm as you may imagine so any suggestions are appreciated 😉

Ok, but I won't jump into that straight away, considering this only occurred after cleaning my computer in the first place. Is there any area in particular you would suggest double checking. I didn't remove the gpu while cleaning, in fact, I barely touched anything. Btw I'm not sure where compressed air comes into practice when trying to fix sound issues, I was already using some to remove dust.
