Headset audio playing through skype

I have recently bought a new headset (Plantronics RIG 500E) and my friends have been complaining about hearing all of my music and game sounds through skype, I am using Realtek HD Audio

So a couple of questions:
- Is Skype using your microphone as the default recording device?
- Are you using a microphone or 3.5mm connection?
- If you are using a 3.5mm connection, there should be an option in the Realtek panel to disable noise feedback from the speakers/headphones. Sorry, I haven't used Realtek in ages but there is an option in there somewhere.
