Headset has a built in mic but the pc doesn't recognize the mic

That's headset i have the audio works when i plug it in the audio jack
but when i plug the cord into the microphone jack non of them work

You need a splitter like that for use on a PC. Those headphones are made for a phone/tablet with a combo jack.
