Headset Picking Up All Sounds

Hello, I have a hyperx stinger headset and the mic on it is picking up all of my windows sounds and things that happen in my room that are very far away. I've used the physical mute on my mic to test whether it picks up windows sounds or not but it continues to. I've looked all around and have found no solutions to this problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

try to lower mic level from sound settings, also do this in apps you use like Discord
