Question Headset with USB connector, speakers with 2.5 mm jack. Is there a way to make them work simultaniously without converting USB to 2.5 mm or vice versa?

Hey,

I just bought a new headset and it uses USB connector. My speakers have 2.5 mm jack and when I plug both my headset and speakers in, it doesnt work.

My previous headset had 2.5 mm jack as well so I just bought reduction from two 2.5 mm connectors to one and plugged them in and it worked. Now my question is, is there any way how to make USB sound and 2.5 mm sound work or do I need to buy reduction from USB to 2.5 mm or vice versa ?

Are you plugging them into a PC? On Windows 10, you can easily switch between audio devices by left clicking the audio icon in the taskbar, and picking which device you want to use. If you want them to work simultaneously, try this guide:

If you're not using a PC, will need more info about your setup.

2.5mm is analog, USB is digital, they are not compatible, u can't simply buy a dumb adapter and expect magical digital to analog conversion to occur.
