Hey all i recently bought a ASUS strix gtx 960 just threw it in my pc today. I'm using a AMD A-10 7850k inside a fractal design core 3000 USB which i beleive is a mini-itx case. Getting the graphics card in was quite the ordeal, i had to bend the 6 pin connector down to even get the side panel on. So i started up fallout 4 and at ultra settings was getting about 45 fps constant but i noticed my computer was very noisy. I quickly closed out of the game and opened speccy 64 bit where my cpu temps read about 88 and then began to drop. Is this dangerous? Should i be concerned?

Um it just says the degrees celcius. I don't know what part of the cpu its measuring from. I'm considering disabling the onboard graphics in the apu i think they might be driving it over the edge in game and causing the temps to rise because i couldnt see a cpu reaching that high in fo4. Any thoughts?

Ive had my computer built for a good year now with out the 960 so its not an issue with thermal paste. I think my onboard is trying to run it at ultra which is just destroying the temps. Could be wrong readings tho cuz performance was very solid and consistent. Unless speccy is montioring mobo temps around the cpu which would rise from the addtion of the 960 like i said it was all a very tight fit so i was kinda worried about temps.

The igpu is low wattage, less than 30 so won't raise temps more than just a few degrees. If the monitor is in the gpu then the igpu is obviously not being used. There are very few reasons temps rise that high. Check the heatsink mount. What are the temps of the other components after gaming?

Disabled my onboard. Played BF4 at low and it was reading about 80. Proceeded to bump it up and run around a bit until i got it to ultra CPU was supposedly at 94 degrees C and gpu at 61 peak for both of those. Right when i left the game it dropped to 88 and fell down to now 68. Motherboard temps were reading 62 at peak ultra settings. I'm so stumped it sounds noticeably louder and like its being taxed but im starting to think its the cards fans and the ambient temperature its giving off and these temps arent accurate heat hasnt dissapated maybe or these could be a section near the cpu on the motherboard that these readings are from. Any suggestions on other software to use that could be more accurate?

Keep hearing the max temp before shut off is 70 yet mine keeps getting up to 90. It's rather loud with the fans at 60% but im not seeing any thermal throttling or anything. This is very annoying got a new gpu and i'm afraid to even play games.

I was about to run some tests with core temp ill send those your way. Dumb question but i took the pictures saved em to my desktop whats the easiest way to get them on here>
