So... I got my rig finished 😛
I attempted overclocking and got an AMD FX-6300 to 4.2Ghz (x21 Multiplier and 200Mhz base clock) running stable (I think) at 1.2125V. When I run "Stress" (I use Linux) on all 6 cores it runs to 50C and restarts. What temperature should I aim for a healthy OC?
P.S I am sure this has to do with the fan. I am using the stock cooler while my new one is shipping.

Specs:
8GB 1600 Ram
AMD FX-6300 @4.2GhZ
Gigabyte Radeon R7 250 with 2GB gddr5 OC edition
GA-78Lmt-s2p
500w PSU.

Give me your thoughts on my build!

EDIT: The CPU runs at about 10-15C with terminal open and under minimal load.

After some adjustment, I was actually able to run stress on all 6 cores under 40c. The fan sounds like a jet engine though. When my CPU cooler gets here I am going to try to shoot for 5-5.5 ghz. Wish me luck.
