Question Heat sink very close to Ram

Hey guys happy Memorial Day weekend, I just got the noctua d15. And the front fan in numbing into the ram. Not putting pressure on it or nothing. What should I do? Any help will be appreciated

Yes, and yes.
It's unfortunate that the NH-D15 gets recommended so often when the S model is superior in almost every way...

Or, will that encroaching fan mount on the other side of the cooler, pulling through...

That's also an option.

Yes.
Either take it off completely, or see if it will mount to the other side (being mindful of which way it is blowing)

It needs to blow in the same direction as it was. Just on the other side of the fins.

Other actions would be to see if there's room for the fan on the other side of the cooling tower, are those DIMM slots also occupied?
Buying a smaller fan, or maybe you have one laying about?

Update

I tried to flip the fan to the back but my mother board has an extended heat sink. So it’s like a bump. So right now I’m using it like the NH d15s. So if I’m correct can I attach a 120mm fan to the NH d15?

So the motherboard's I/O shield was too bulky, thus raising the fan and preventing you from closing the side panel?

Not worth it, IMO, but if you must, yes, you can mount a 120mm fan to the NH-D15.

@GorillaMonsoon the problem is it’s also touching the the panel cause the fan is so big. So that’s why I was asking if I can attach a 120mm fan

Yeah. IF you don't already have an extra 120mm on hand, it's not going to be worth the 1-2C difference.

But I get that it sucks not having the look of the front fan on there though.

Case Fan: CRYORIG XT140 65 CFM 140 mm Fan ($25.07 @ Amazon)

It's a slim fan, the same fan that comes on the Cryorig R1 Universal, it's 13mm I believe, so half as wide as a standard fan giving you enough room for ram clearance on the second slot.

Unfortunately, as of yet Noctua hasn't fully finished the 140mm version of the NF-A12x15 120mm slim fan.
