I recently bought a new CPU and I am trying to replace the one that was put in by iBuyPower. I removed the fan, undid both the clasps, and unscrewed the bracket holding it to the motherboard just in case. I tried heating it up by playing mk9 and applied way more force then I should have to, both straight out and with slight twisting. Is it possible they designed a heat sink that is not meant to be removed?

Here is a picture of the back of the motherboard:

If you need more pictures please let me know. Thank you for anyone who takes the time to read or respond to this.

I'm going to go try using a hair dryer... cross your fingers :D.

Solution
Really strange, this is a standard AMD cooler, just open the black lever unhook both side and pull.
Maybe the thermal paste is cooked and this is why it is so hard to take off.

When this happen I take a flat screwdriver and try to pry it without touching the cpu.
