specs
a 320w 80plus psu
s340mf motherboard
8gbs of ddr4 2666mhz ram
a 256gb ssd
a gt710
a i5-9400f
stock cooler
So my plan here is to get a i5-9600k or a amd processor and I want to know if it would be woth buying a new cpu for the igpu and boost perfomance and wait till prices decrese wait ang get a decent gpu at the level of a gtx970 and if my 320psu would tank it the probable overclock on the amd processor or intel processor and if I get a amd processor what is the best cost-quality motherboard

Solution
any tutorial on how to open it would be helpful
Unscrew side panel and remove it.

First you can't use a AMD processor.
You can't overclock using the motherboard.
The processor upgrade is not enough to spend any money on.
You will need to replace the power supply to add a mid range video card. You can buy a GT 1030 card and install it.

If your trying to make this a gaming PC I would replace the case(very limited cooling), power supply, get 16GB of memory, and add a decent video card.

EDIT the side should come off just like this but if you can't take the side off you probably should not be messing with the PC at all.

since Intel is a oven I was asking if I overclock the amd processor till it reaches the lvl of heat of the intel processor would be effective enough to be worth buying the new cpu and motherboard (I can sell the intel cpu), my budget would be arround 170 bucks for the motherboard, psu, and ram also I can sell my psu (would be hard but possible) Just remembered that the gt 710 runs on a pcie express gen2 x8 slot (gpu-z info didnt open the case) . Also seagate vs ironwolf vs wd blue in the context of lasting 7-8yrs

This computer? Intended use for heavy gaming?

https://www.asus.com/us/Displays-Desktops/Tower-PCs/Everyday-use/ASUS-S340MF/

User Guide (do verify):

What is your budget?

Not sure that that is a viable build to upgrade.

Take a couple photographs of the back and post here via imgur (www.imgur.com).
just gaming at 1080p arround medium settings 60fps on the upcoming 5-6 yrs and yes that computer my. comment on top of this is more elaborative on what I want to upgrade

You can't use a AMD processor with the motherboard you have.

For a HDD lasting 7/8 years any might and any might fail. You can buy a new one of any of them and it fail the same day or last 10 years.

It's a pre-built. That means the probability of proprietary connections, proprietary psu etc. Pre-built company's do not want you to upgrade your pc, their intent is to sell you a better, higher performance pc to start with. So you'll get low end parts that are hard, if not impossible to replace.

The cpu is upgradable, but the motherboard won't handle much bigger, making the cost of the upgrade rediculous. The gpu is upgradable, but the size/shape of the psu makes that impossible.

Honestly, it's time to start from scratch, get what you want, then sell the old pc as is, minus your data. There's plenty of ppl who will buy a solid, clean little pc, just to watch YouTube and surf the internet. That pc was never intended for gaming purposes and the cost to replace everything necessary, if at all possible, to make it such would equal close to a new pc,and not perform nearly as well.
